Kim's 83 year old father became separated from his partner while elk hunting in the mountains above Manti, Utah and was unable to return to the rendezvous area due to near blizzard weather conditions. He spent the better parts of two days and one night in the mountains alone before being rescued late Sunday afternoon in answer to our collective prayers. We were all very worried about him after we heard that he was missing. Even though I was up in Utah with two sons to visit family and attend LDS General Conference, we felt helpless since the authorities would not permit amateur searchers to assist, probably due to concerns of rescuers needing rescue themselves due to high altitude, rugged country, and bad weather. So, family members were limited to waiting, fasting, and praying. We were very grateful to receive word late Sunday afternoon that he had been found alive and in relatively good condition.
