The major file in Southern California continues to be the Sylmar fire, but this morning a fire started in Corona near the Green River exit on the 91 freeway near the Riverside County line and due to warm temperatures, low humidity, and strong Santa Ana winds, quickly spread to Yorba Linda and Anaheim Hills, where dozens of homes and a large apartment complex have burned so far. The sky is very dark to our north. This fire is about 8 miles to our northeast. A smaller fire is also burning in Brea. Thousands, if not tens of thousands, have and are being evacuated in northeastern Orange County. Here is a link to online newspaper coverage of the fire:
